Frugoso Beach

The northernmost beach on the island.

Also known as Capo Castello beach, it is the northernmost beach on Elba Island with a sand and pebble bottom. Notable is the presence on the shoreline of posidonia leaves washed up by the waves, a completely natural seaweed that is left behind so as not to alter the naturalness of the places. The beach is partly equipped, partly free. The bottom is rocky: rubber shoes are recommended. Opposite, the view sweeps to the Mouse Islet and further to the right to the lighthouse.
