Sottobomba Beach

The relaxation of a natural pool in the shade of white rocks.

It is a small beach of white pebbles with a crystal clear sea. Quieter than other beaches on the island, it is accessed via a ladder suitable for everyone. In the morning it stays in the shade because it has the sun behind it and remains covered by rocks. Rock shoes recommended because the beach and seabed are pebbles.

How to get there

It is not always easy to see the sign for this beach, which remains shortly after Portoferraio, in the direction of Enfola. Pay attention to a small clearing along the road where a sign indicates access to the sea. To reach it, one must descend a hundred comfortable steps. Free parking nearby.
