Morcone Beach

One of the largest beaches on the south side facing southwest, with a wide horizon where the setting sun enhances the outlines of the headlands of the south coast of Elba Island. In October 2021 on the left side of the beach about 80 newly hatched Caretta caretta turtles emerged from the sand to slip into the sea.

We are on the slope of Mount Calamita, below Capoliveri. The beach is 250 meters long, sheltered from northerly winds and well exposed to the southwest with a wide shoreline characterized by sand mixed with pebbles with deep blue water. The beach is well equipped and therefore suitable for families with children, thanks in part to easy access. The place is also pleasant for a young audience who can enjoy numerous sea-related sports activities. From Morcone, by renting a boat, it is possible to explore the Seagull Coast, dotted with beaches reachable only by sea where you will really find yourself out of this world.
