Leaving before first light, a trek on the eastern slopes, from Monte Grosso to Monte Capannello. A route along the eastern ridge of Elba, with the sea to the east and west and a view of the islands of the archipelago and the Tuscan coastline, immersed in the scents and colours of the low Mediterranean maquis, until reaching the small village of Rio nell'Elba.
