On Friday, June 12, at 9:30 p.m., the spotlight will officially be turned on one of the most beloved and anticipated cultural events of the Elban summer. The splendid setting of Piazzetta La Vantina in Capoliveri hosts the inauguration of the literary review "Autorə in Vantina," which until September will transform the village's natural amphitheater into a theater under the stars. The season's debut is entrusted to an extraordinarily sensitive and topical meeting with journalists, writers and television science consultants Carola Benedetto and Luciana Ciliento, who will present the book "My Father, Your Father" (Edizioni DeAgostini).

A story of peace and hope beyond the walls of hatred

The festival's formula, based on the value of listening and the guest's intimate monologue, lends itself perfectly to giving voice to a powerful work designed especially for children and the younger generation, but capable of deeply touching adult audiences as well.

"My Father, Your Father" tells the moving and real story of two men: an Israeli father and a Palestinian father. United by the same, immense grief over the loss of their respective daughters to the conflict, the two decide to make a revolutionary choice: not to give in to revenge, but to join forces to break down the wall of prejudice and hatred. A necessary tale about dialogue, empathy and the possibility of building bridges of peace even where there seems to be only rubble.
