A special evening that combines history, science and myth in one unforgettable experience. This guided excursion will take you up to the majestic Volterraio Fortress, the island's impregnable eagle's nest, to witness a breathtaking sunset over the Rada of Portoferraio. A must-see event for astrophiles, photographers and wilderness lovers.
After visiting the monument accompanied by the Tuscan Archipelago National Park Guides, the focus will shift to the celestial vault. Taking advantage of the perfect conditions of a moonless evening and the privileged location of the fortress-protected from light pollution and recognized as one of the darkest skies in Italy-participants will learn how to orient themselves among the stars and constellations, discovering the evocative ancient myths related to them.
Meeting: 8:30 p.m. at "Le Casermette" parking area, located along the Provincial Road to Volterraio.

Mandatory safety requirements:
Hiking shoes are required to be worn.
It is mandatory to be equipped with personal lighting tools, such as a flashlight or headlamp, which are essential for the walk back in the dark.
Method of participation: The event is by reservation only.
Full ticket: €20.00.
Reduced ticket (€ 10.00): Reserved for island residents and non-residents over 65.
Reduced ticket residents over 65: € 5.00.
Free admission: Reserved for resident students (ages 12 to 19), disabled persons and their carers (free admission is valid for one carer only).
