On the occasion of World Mediterranean Sea Day, the Aula VerdeBlu in Mola hosts a special event entirely dedicated to environmental education and creativity: "What do I do with posidonia?" A playful-educational workshop designed for children and their families, created with the aim of turning the spotlight on one of the most important, but often least understood, elements of our marine ecosystem.
During the meeting, the young participants and their parents will embark on a journey of discovery of Posidonia oceanica, learning to recognize it not as an annoying trash that settles on the shoreline, but as a real marine plant that is essential for the health of our sea and for the protection of beaches from erosion.
The most exciting part of the workshop will see children try their hand at creative recycling: through a handcrafted process, participants will use plant residue to create a real sheet of "paper-posidonia." An original and concrete way to enhance a valuable natural resource, turning it into a unique piece of art to take home as a memento of the day.
Meeting: 5:30 p.m. at theGreenBlue Classroom, Mola location.
Duration: Approximately 2 hours.
Cost: The activity is completely free of charge.
Who it's for: Children, teens and families eager to experiment hands-on and discover marine biology in a fun way.
Reservation required: To ensure the availability of materials for the recycling experiment, you must reserve your place in advance.
