Legend of the Innamorata - historical reenactment
8 p.m.: A thousand candles are lit in the Bay of Innamorata.
8:45 p.m.: Capoliveri church bells announce the historical procession in period costumes
9 p.m.: procession departure from "La Piazzerella," via Roma, via Cavour, via Cardenti, piazza Matteotti, piazza Garibaldi, via Pietro Gori, piazza del Cavatore. Transfer to the Innamorata Beach.
9:45 p.m.: start of the torchlight procession on the beach
10 p.m.: A voice rises from the depths of the sea on arias from Giuseppe Verdi's opera "Il corsaro"
10:15 p.m.: A girl from Capoliveri impersonating Maria dives off the Ciarpa rock, leaving her shawl behind. Immediately afterwards four fishermen will fetch him, and whoever returns with the Ciarpa will nominate Mary of the following year
10:30 p.m.: On the rock of the Ciarpa, the "Innamorata" sign lights up.

Mines of Rio Marina

Paolina Beach

The beach is named after the islet a few meters from the shore, itself named after Napoleon Bonaparte’s sister who, according to a legend (probably created by a tourism entrepreneur in the 1960s) loved to sunbathe on these rocks.
