On Monday, June 29, at 6 p.m., the evocative archaeological setting of the Villa Romana delle Grotte in Portoferraio will host a prestigious cultural event suspended between literature and territory. The event, part of the renowned regional billboard of the "Nights of Archaeology of the Region of Tuscany," will feature the presentation of the book "Landscape between the lines. Paths with Writers of Modernity" written by Anna Dolfi.
The meeting will provide the audience with a high-level opportunity to reflect on how the great authors of modernity have been able to narrate, interpret and internalize the surrounding landscape.
Author Anna Dolfi, a distinguished academician of the Lincei and professor at the University of Florence, will explore the themes of the volume in dialogue with Professor Corrado Nesi. Dr. Valentina Anselmi, director of the museum system, will instead introduce the evening. The debate, hosted outdoors among the remains of the luxurious patrician residence from the Augustan era, promises to be a fascinating intellectual journey that perfectly marries the monumental beauty of the site with the depth of literary criticism.
Location: Villa Romana delle Grotte, Località Le Grotte, Portoferraio. The audience for the event will be set up outdoors in the scenic areas of the site.
Time: Start of the meeting set for 6 p.m.
Admission: Free and free of charge. No reservation is required.
Who it is suitable for: Literary enthusiasts, scholars, academics, residents and tourists who are looking for an afternoon cultural event of absolute scientific and popular depth.
