The "Sugar is Back 2026" festival gets into full swing. On Monday, June 22, on the large open-air stage in Piazza Matteotti in Capoliveri, the second night dedicated to the theme "Women in Soul, Blues, Dance, Funk & Black Music" will host one of the most fascinating and magnetic voices on the contemporary international scene: the extraordinary American singer and songwriter Ty Le Blanc.
Originally from El Paso, Texas, Ty Le Blanc brings a fresh, deep and culturally nuanced sound to the table. Known for her acclaimed performances at Italy's most prestigious festivals (including Pistoia Blues, Venice Jazz Festival and Trasimeno Blues), the American artist also boasts private performances for Hollywood icons such as George Clooney, Sandra Bullock, Leonardo DiCaprio, Naomi Campbell and Owen Wilson on her prestigious resume.
In Capoliveri, Ty Le Blanc will lead the audience on an unprecedented and timeless musical journey: a continuous line that starts from the mud of the primordial Blues and the warm atmospheres of Soul, crosses the enthralling rhythm of vintageR&B and lands in the contaminated, intense and sensual sounds of contemporary Soul. All enriched by a personal interpretation and stage presence of enormous emotional impact.
To unleash the full power of Black Music, Ty Le Blanc will be accompanied on stage by a lineup of extraordinary musicians:
Keki Andrei: Hammond Organ and Voice
Enrico Crivellaro: Guitar
Andrea Cozzani: Bass guitar
Carmine Bloisi: Drums
Claudio Giovagnoli: Sax
The band's sonic mix, driven by the unmistakable vintage, scratchy frequencies of the Hammond organ, promises to faithfully restore that disruptive energy and acoustic quality that for years have been the hallmark of the best Sugar Reef-branded productions.
