Every summer, the Mediterranean becomes the scene of a natural miracle: the hatching of sea turtle eggs, an event that captures the attention of nature lovers and many tourists. Behind the magic that takes place between the golden waves of the sand and the sea, however, there is a reality that needs our commitment. The insidiousness of fishing nets, water pollution, marine traffic: the dangers to the ancient navigators of our seas are many.
To accompany the dream of the Caretta caretta sea turtles, Acqua dell'Elba has chosen to support Legambiente's Tartalove project, which aims to protect sea turtles and raise awareness of the importance of the fragile ecosystem in which they live.
Acqua dell'Elba will support Tartalove with an event, the Tarta Beach Tour, and a special room fragrance, whose wooden cap will be decorated with the Tartalove logo. A symbol of commitment, which will be on sale until 28 February 2025 in Acqua dell'Elba single-brand shops and online. For each room perfumer purchased, 15% of the price will be donated to Tartalove, in order to financially support nest monitoring, treatment for injured turtles, and various awareness-raising activities. A simple gesture that can make a big difference.
The Tarta Beach Tour will start on 3 July from Marciana Marina and will involve, until 27 August, 15 locations on the island with a packed calendar of events.
Each stage of the Tartabeachtour will be an opportunity to learn and have fun: games, workshops and educational activities will allow participants to discover the world of sea turtles and understand the importance of their conservation; not just information, but an immersive experience that directly connects people with marine life and its delicate balance.

1. Biology and ecology of sea turtles, life cycle of Caretta caretta, monitoring 2. Recreating an adult Caretta caretta with sand, respecting dimensions and morphological characteristics

1. Brief introduction to introduce Caretta caretta and its biological cycle 2. Games that allow participants to identify with the sea turtle at various stages of its life.

11:30 and 18:30 "TARTAQUIZ" - duration 45 min:
1. Quiz to test participants' knowledge on sea turtles, their behaviour, habitats, threats and their history in the Tuscan Archipelago 2. Each participant will be able to create their own pin representing the knowledge acquired
