Vacationing on an island like Elba has a whole other flavor, and one cannot just call it "a beach vacation." If "vacation" means to disconnect, to go outside the usual patterns of life, as well as to move to a different place than usual, in Elba even more than in other places it means daring a change in our habits.
Give your lifestyle a boost. Often, immediately after a long winter period spent in the city, you find yourself so addicted to your habits that you see change as an arduous and difficult path. But the unique beauty of this island will help you regenerate: turquoise sea, an exceptionally long coastal perimeter full of coves, creeks, and beaches of all kinds: sandy, pebbly, or even black, composed of the finest minerals. Immersed in the scents of the Mediterranean scrub, between baths, you will begin to feel a sense of well-being pervade you and pause to think about your codified habits and how they seem far away. So once you decide it is time to turn your lifestyle around, you will be spoiled for choice: you could enroll in a course of sub to Pareti, or to one of Kayak in Procchio, or even to one of Wind Surf at Lido di Capoliveri. Or, why not, even all three at the same time!
Harmony of body and mind. There are many diving schools on the island, but also other courses taught by experienced professionals who will introduce you to a yoga of well-being. Doing sports surrounded by unspoiled nature is a priceless feeling: as the secrets of an underwater world you did not know, and of surprising small coastal habitats of heart-filling beauty are revealed before you, you will rediscover the harmony of your body and, consequently, of your mind.
Not just a vacation. Vacation can also be this: doing different things than usual and gaining a new awareness of well-being. You will find, then, that that ache that has been plaguing you for a long time will have disappeared, and you will realize that, at the same time, your recurring thoughts will have disappeared, leaving room for feelings of relaxation that you did not expect.
We don't want to say that this island is miraculous-perhaps all islands are a bit miraculous-but certainly Elba, with its concentration of minerals, is imbued with a magical atmosphere, more intense than anywhere else: ideal for those in search of a more intimate inner listening, to improve interaction with the world. If you are looking for a change, you are in the right place.

Strategic location for the large amount of hematite and limonite immediately identified by the emperor as soon as he landed on the island as a strategic-military axis.
The beach is named after the islet a few meters from the shore, itself named after Napoleon Bonaparte’s sister who, according to a legend (probably created by a tourism entrepreneur in the 1960s) loved to sunbathe on these rocks.
Designated as a summer residence, Napoleon purchased the property from the Manganaro family in 1814, with the intention of transforming it into a comfortable and refined abode that would have nothing to envy from Parisian residences.
Built in 1724 by Grand Duke Gaston de’ Medici, it was Napoleon’s city residence during his first stay on Elba Island.
It was built as a sign of gratitude in 1606 by José Pons y León of the Dukes of Arcos, Spanish governor of Naples and first governor of the square of Longone (part of the state of principals). In September 1814 Napoleon, accompanied by Pons and Bertrand wanted to visit the sanctuary.
While the Elban economy today is based on tourism, the fact remains that the people of San Piero and the west coast (Pomonte) have also lived and continue to live off their granite and marble
