Marciana Archaeological Museum

The Marciana Archaeological Museum was the first on the island in 1968 and was renovated in 2002. The interior houses the island's oldest artefacts, which have their roots in local prehistory

Need to know

The museum is dedicated to West Elba. It offers a journey through the centuries, with its artefacts from the island's oldest settlements, spanning the Palaeolithic and Neolithic, the Iron Age and the Etruscan, to the Roman period. The exhibition also highlights the relationship with the sea, thanks to a section dedicated to the wrecks found in the Procchio bay.
